Jeffery F. Kazukiewicz is currently performing extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, as well as orchestral player. He performs with ensembles such as New England String Ensemble, Boston Virtuosi, Portland Symphony, New Hampshire Symphony, Indian Hill Orchestra as well as many others. Mr. Kazukiewicz has appeared as a guest soloist numerous times performing such works as the Tchaikowsky Violin Concerto, Tzigane by Ravel, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 as well as Meditation of Thais by Jules Massenet. Mr. Kazukiewicz performed as a guest artist in the Ludwig Diehn Series held at Old Dominion University premiering the Sonata for Violin and Piano by Ludwig Diehn and making the first live recording. Mr. Kazukiewicz held a recital in Buffalo, NY, which was broadcast via WBOF 88.7 NPR Radio. He also has been broadcast locally on WGBH 89.7 Boston Radio. In 1999, Mr. Kazukiewicz and Maestro Russell Stanger (Virginia Symphony) instituted an alumni program at the School for Orchestral Studies in Saratoga, NY. He appeared as an alumni soloist with the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra performing Tzigane by Ravel. In addition to the classical world Mr. Kazukiewicz is the violinist for the Grammy Nominated Jan Lewan Orchestra, performing regularly at such venues as Trump Taj Majal. Mr. Kazukiewicz has recorded six albums with the Jan Lewan Orchestra, one of which is dedicated to a Polish Christmas. He was also active in the scene of Off-Broadway shows working along side of Steven Sondheim and Arthur Laurents, in the revival of “Do I Hear a Waltz” by Rogers and Hammerstein. He has also played a role in the major motion picture “The Human Stain” starring Anthony Hopkins and Nicole Kidman. He is seen performing in the Quintet. He has also appeared with many popular performers such as Ray Charles, Smokie Robinson, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman and many others. His violin studies began at the age of 7 in Buffalo,
NY under Frances Bagdol Kaye & Charles Haupt of the Buffalo Philharmonic.
At age 14, he was awarded Town Proclamation award for “Highest
Commitment to the Arts.” He continued on to receive his Bachelor’s
Degree from Ithaca College under Pamela Gearhart and Debra Moree and
his Master’s Degree in Performance from the University of Akron
where he He received a full assistantship for chamber music and was the
teaching assistant to Alan Bodman. |
